As a condition of using the Black & Ginger website and other Black & Ginger services (we’ll call that “the service” from here on), you agree to comply with and be subject to all of the following terms and conditions of use.

The following rules may be modified from time to time. Continued use of the service by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions.

If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not use the service.

1. Personal Use of the Service

Wine purchased from Black & Ginger is for personal use only, and is not to be on-sold. You agree and acknowledge that your failure to follow the rules set forth in this Agreement may subject you to civil and criminal liability.

2. Responsible Service of Alcohol

Under Australian laws, alcoholic beverages can only be sold or supplied to persons aged 18 years of age or over. By placing an order with Black & Ginger you are confirming to us that you are at least 18 years of age. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 18 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). Remember, it is an offence to obtain liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years; this includes purchasing the wines as a gift. If in doubt our couriers may request some form of ID with proof of age at the time of delivery.

Black & Ginger encourages the legal and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.

3. Privacy Policy

To offer the goods and services we provide in our business as an online retailer, we will need to collect personal information. By listing your email address on your order, you consent to being added to our eNewsletter database.

8. Visiting the Wine Shed

We love welcoming guests to the Wine Shed and want every visit to be relaxed and enjoyable for everyone. By visiting, you agree to the following.

8.1 Acceptable behaviour

All guests are expected to treat our team, fellow visitors and the premises with respect. We are a licensed venue and alcohol is served in accordance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. Our staff may refuse or discontinue service, and ask any person to leave, where that person is intoxicated, aggressive, abusive, unduly disruptive, or behaving in a way that compromises the safety or enjoyment of others. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Wine Shed.

8.2 Children

Children are welcome but not encouraged at the Wine Shed, and only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision, safety and behaviour of children in their care at all times — both inside the Wine Shed and in surrounding outdoor areas. We ask that children remain with their group, do not run between tables or climb on our furniture, but most importantly, we ask that they do not disturb other guests. The Black & Ginger Wine Shed, is a licenced venue established for the use of adult guests for the sale of wine. Under no circumstances may minors consume alcohol on the premises.

8.3 Public holiday surcharge

A surcharge of 15% applies to all in-house purchases on gazetted public holidays to cover the additional cost of trading on those days. The surcharge does not apply to takeaway wine purchases.

8.4 Corkage

We do not permit BYO wine at the Wine Shed. A corkage fee of $15 per bottle applies to any bottle of Black & Ginger wine purchased on site and opened to enjoy in house. Takeaway bottles that are taken off the premises unopened are not subject to corkage.

8.5 Right of refusal

We reserve the right to refuse entry or service, and to ask any guest to leave, at our discretion where the terms of this clause 8 are not observed.

9. Credit Card Charges

Online orders are by credit card, Google Pay and Apple Pay. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

No minimum purchase is required.

12. Subscriptions

Some items in our store may be offered to you as a subscription. This cancellation policy lays out how you can change or cancel these kinds of purchases. When you purchase a subscription you’ll receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select.
Your payment details will be stored securely and you’ll be charged for each of these deliveries. Subscriptions will auto-renew at the end of their duration. If you don’t want to renew a subscription you can cancel it.  If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do it at any time. Your order confirmation emails have links to your order. You can manage your subscription from there.
