The new wine, a Pet Nat Lambrusco called 'Pet Lamb'. What is a Pet Nat you ask? Pet Nat, short for Pétillant Naturel, is a type of sparkling wine that is made using the méthode ancestrale. It involves bottling the wine before the fermentation process is complete, resulting in natural carbonation. Unlike Champagne or other traditional sparkling wines, Pet Nat is often unfiltered and can have a slightly cloudy appearance. It is known for its lively and effervescent character, often exhibiting vibrant fruit flavors and a refreshing, sometimes slightly funky, profile. Pet Nat wines are pretty popular for their natural spontaneous style.
Our 'Pet Lamb' is fruity with characters of mulberry, rich blackcurrant and liquorice. Super fine bubbles and the deepest colour wine you'll ever see.
Did you know that the Lambrusco grape varietal is one of very few that actually have red flesh. Most grape varietals, including Shiraz and Cabernet, have white flesh, the wines get their colour from the skins.
